The Role of GP’s and Specialists

The GP is the key medical practitioner for any individual with a chronic disease or complex medical condition, and is responsible for ensuring effective management of each patient’s health care needs. Many conditions require a continuum of care between a variety of specialist practitioners to ensure a holistic approach to health care.

How our services can benefit your patients?

Here at Exact Physiology, our team of highly motivated accredited Exercise Physiologists specialise in the provision of evidence-based exercise programs for the treatment, management and prevention of many acute and chronic health and medical conditions. Our Exercise Physiology services are recognised and funded by Medicare, DVA and many private health insurance funds. Because our services are mobile we are able to visit patients within their home, aged care facilities, and within our affiliated practices.

Each individual undergoes an initial consultation where one of our Exercise Physiologists sits down to assess the clients condition, current lifestyle behaviours, goals and areas which require attention in terms of physical activity. From here we then provide you with a full report of our assessment findings, management plans and goals. At the end of the treatment program you again will receive an update report on outcomes achieved and our future management recommendations.

TCA Consultations, Group Allied Health Referras, DVA and Private Health Rebates

We accept TCA and DVA referrals. Each of these services are bulk billed to the client, so here is no out of pocket expense. As a part of each of these services each client is provided with a theraband to enable the continuation of the provided exercise plan.

For privately referral patients, private health insurance rebates may be available, however it is the clients responsibility to confirm this with their insurer prior to their initial consultation.
